The protection of personal data is important to Jonas Schmitz. Personal data is treated confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection provisions and this privacy policy.

3. Collection and processing

Data is collected either because it is provided — for example via the contact form or by email — or automatically by IT systems when the site is visited (for example IP address, browser type, time of access). The latter serves the technical provision and security of the website.

4. Contact form

Details submitted through the contact form (name, email address, optionally organisation, subject and message) are processed solely to handle the enquiry and are delivered by email. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual measures and otherwise the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) is used as a processor for delivery. Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Submitted details are retained until the enquiry has been dealt with or their erasure is requested; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

To prevent abusive bulk sending, the IP address of the submitting connection is evaluated briefly and only in memory; it is not stored permanently for this purpose (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

5. Disclosure of data

Personal data is disclosed to third parties only where permitted by law or where explicit consent has been given.

6. Rights of data subjects

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

This website links to external platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram. No responsibility is assumed for their privacy practices. No content from these platforms is embedded; only plain links are used.

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by “https://” in the address bar.

9. Hosting

This website is hosted with Vercel (Vercel, Inc., USA). When the site is accessed, the provider processes technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, time, requested resource) for secure and reliable provision. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Data may be transferred to the USA; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

10. Cookies, fonts and analytics

This website sets no cookies for analytics or marketing purposes and embeds no tracking services. Only when the language switcher is actively used is a strictly necessary cookie (“locale”) set, storing the chosen language only; no consent is required for this (Section 25 (2) TDDDG).

Fonts are served locally from our own server. No external font services (such as Google Fonts) are used, so accessing the site establishes no connection to third-party servers for fonts.
